Hi, I’m Maya. I’m obsessed with desks.

I’m the founder and editor of desk & glow, where I write about home offices, gaming rooms, and everything in between.

I started desk & glow because I could not find setup advice that felt real. Everything was either a showroom photo with a five-figure budget or a spec sheet with no soul. I wanted something in between: honest ideas for normal people with normal rooms and normal budgets.

My own setup has been through a dozen versions. A cramped corner desk in a shared apartment. A work-from-home station balanced on an ironing board (do not recommend). A cozy gaming nook with LED strips I installed myself. Every idea on this site comes from that kind of real trial and error.

What you’ll find here

• Home office ideas that make workdays better, whatever your space looks like
• Gaming room inspiration, from cozy corners to full setups
• Desk setup layouts with gear that is worth the money
• Lighting guides, because good lighting changes everything
• Budget finds that punch above their price

My promise

I do not do sponsored fluff. If I recommend something, it is because I would buy it myself. Some links on this site are affiliate links, which means I may earn a small commission if you buy through them. It costs you nothing extra and it keeps the lights on, literally.

Thanks for stopping by. Now go make your desk a place you love.
